Meet Tom Birks

Tom Birks has been in the insurance industry since 1995. After more than two decades in the business, he opened his first Allstate agency in Bloomfield, New Jersey, in 2017 and expanded into Pennsylvania in 2024 with a second location in Pocono Summit. Today, his agencies serve customers across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Tom is also a U.S. Air Force veteran and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. That experience, combined with more than 30 years in insurance, has shaped an agency focused on helping customers protect what matters to them and building long term relationships in the communities it serves.

Building a More Consistent Growth Engine

When Tom came to Next Call Club in October 2024, he was looking for better lead quality and a more consistent live transfer experience. He signed on for both NCC Internet Leads and SDR Services, with NCC sourcing the leads and its SDR team calling those leads and delivering live transfers directly to Tom’s agency.

Making that combination work meant paying attention to both sides of the program. On the lead side, Tom regularly shared ZIP code performance data from Allstate with NCC, giving both teams a clearer picture of where sales were actually coming from. NCC reviewed that data alongside campaign performance and used it to recommend where to focus the lead strategy across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

At the same time, the SDR team worked to turn those leads into live conversations for Tom’s producers. As the partnership developed, the focus became making the entire process work more efficiently, from where the leads were coming from to how they were being worked and transferred to the agency.

Dialing In the SDR Process

Getting the SDR side right required ongoing adjustments. Throughout the partnership, NCC worked with Tom to test different SDR team members and refine the calling process based on what his agency was seeing.

From April through June 2026, that work focused on tightening the workflow and streamlining the account. The lead campaigns continued to evolve based on performance data while the SDR process was adjusted around what was working best for Tom’s team.

Tom played an active role throughout. His agency shared what was converting into business, NCC reviewed performance across the lead campaigns and SDR operation, and both sides used those insights to decide what to adjust next.

From April through June 2026, Tom’s agency set a new sales record each month.

The Payoff: More Than $1M in Premium

In 2025, Tom wrote more than $1 million in premium from NCC leads. During the first six months of 2026, he added just over $655,000 in premium, continuing that growth across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

From April through June 2026 alone, the agency sold 374 items across 160 households. During that period, NCC leads averaged a $6.87 cost per lead, and the program delivered a 40% ROI including SDR fees.

Behind those numbers was a system that kept evolving. Tom shared what his agency was seeing, NCC used that feedback to refine the lead strategy, and the SDR process continued to improve around what was producing results.

By June 2026, Tom had built on a million dollar year with another $655,000 in premium and three consecutive months of new agency sales records.
