Meet Matt Collier
Matt Collier runs his State Farm agency in Goldsboro, North Carolina, serving customers across Goldsboro and the surrounding Wayne County community. A University of South Florida alumnus and the son of a military family, Matt has built his agency around helping customers protect what matters to them while staying connected to the community his team serves.
His agency offers a broad range of personal and business insurance products, supported by a team that also serves Spanish- and German-speaking customers.
Building a Better Lead Mix
When Matt partnered with Next Call Club in May 2025, he wasn’t new to internet leads. His agency was already working with some leads through the State Farm marketplace, but Matt wanted to diversify his internet lead strategy and add another source of opportunities for his team.
That made the opportunity about more than simply adding volume. The goal was to build a stronger lead mix and continue refining it around what was actually producing results for Matt’s agency.
NCC worked with Matt to adjust ZIP codes and campaign filters based on performance, while also incorporating a mix of NCC’s top-tier traffic. As results came in, the team continued refining those variables to optimize the campaigns.
Optimizing Around What Works
As the campaigns generated more data, NCC continued refining filters and prioritizing top-tier traffic based on what was producing results for Matt’s agency.
Rather than treating lead buying as something to set and forget, the focus was on continually improving the mix: looking at where the strongest opportunities were coming from, adjusting targeting accordingly, and making sure Matt’s lead investment stayed focused on the traffic showing the most potential.
That combination of diversification and ongoing optimization gave Matt another internet lead source he could evaluate based on the metric that mattered most: what was actually turning into business.
The Payoff: $370K+ in Written Premium
Across the measured active months from May through November 2025 and January 2026, Matt’s agency generated more than $370,000 in written premium from NCC leads.
Those leads produced 469 items across 196 households, with an average $8.84 cost per lead, $62 cost per item, and $150 cost per sale.
The monthly results also show meaningful production as the strategy developed. October produced 75 items, followed by another 61 in November, as NCC continued refining Matt’s lead mix.
Those results made NCC Matt’s top-performing lead source and the one delivering the highest ROI for his agency. By diversifying his internet lead strategy and continually refining the campaigns around performance, Matt built a lead mix that consistently turned marketing spend into real production for his agency.
